An exciting opportunity with my client within the engineering and manufacturing sector who is committed to achieving business excellence requires your 10yrs+ relevant experience PLUS BDegree in information Systems to take ownership of the Information Systems Manager role. DUTIES: • The ISM will act as the single point accountable leader for the management and maintenance of all IT & related systems and infrastructure at • Authorise all expenditure within the approved budget • Preparation of annual budgets i.e. OPEX AND CAPEX • Shareholder interface via IT steering Committee OPERATIONAL PROCESSES: • Ensure IT Infrastructure strategies are observed & adhered to. E.g backup strategy • Provide technical and non-technical support to internal/external customers • Conforms to & support systems management disciplines including software & hardware change requests • Maintains overall health of the LAN, WAN, telephony, multi-function devices & server environments • Develop, monitor and maintain service level agreements (SLA) with customers. • Lead problem solving and trouble-shooting initiatives • Provide Call Desk Service to handle service requests and fault reports • Design, Implement and Maintain IT and related systems Infrastructure • For showing visible leadership and commitment in HSSE matters • For System Integration Management • For creating IT strategy and vision and managing its implementation. • For conducting or managing large-scale studies at Functional level. • For management and co-ordination of all aspects of business data • Project management of all IT projects • Develop business cases and motivate for approval of large-scale IT projects • For development of business orientated documentation at the strategic level. • For developing and running high level system training workshops. • For managing database integrity with respect to clean-ups for relevant applications REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Information Systems • SAPICS system certification would be advantageous • Minimum 10 years working experience with significant exposure to Control of business Networks, Project Management, Software Installation/Configuration, Telephone / Voicemail System, Business Solution Manager, Security, Plotting / Printing Support • Good People Management experience • SAP Basis working knowledge would be advantageous ATTRIBUTES: • Strong negotiating skills • Strong people management and people motivational skills • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills • High computer literacy skills in MS Office • Problem Solving • Business Controls management • Lead and coach cost efficiencies/ management behaviours • Build shared vision: align team & own goals with organisation’s vision • Maximises business opportunities: sound judgement (Risk & Benefit) • Embraces, leads and embeds change • Team working • Demonstrates courage and self-mastery • Motivates, coaches and develops others • Delivers through others • Demonstrates personal effectiveness • Lead and coach and cost efficiencies/management behaviours While we would really like to respond to every application, should you not be contacted for this position within 10 working days please consider your application unsuccessful.
