Provides effective Leadership and ensures effective and efficient management of Staff and resources in the entire Claims department • Provide an assessment and advice management accordingly • Review and advice Management on legal implications of Internal Policies and procedures • Review Contracts, agreements and internal policies to ensure they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements • Periodic reviews of Litigation matters and processes and management of External lawyers • Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise Management accordingly • Review all contracts or other documentation where the Company has committed itself and assess legal implications that need to be brought to Executive Managements attention • Negotiate and review contracts with external service providers and prepare the necessary checklist to be adopted for dealing with them • Ensure service providers are appointed promptly and offer effective service delivery • Provide Continuous leadership, supervision, training and development of staff ensuring an effective and motivated team • Approve repairs, cost and fees in claims process • Schedule payments for claimants and service providers • Ensure submission of necessary reports • Take responsibility for all claim related negotiations • Negotiate and approve out of court settlements • Review approval of investigators requisitions Professional Qualifications: • BCom Insurance degree Or preferably both LLB and BCom Insurance • A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage • Diploma In Insurance desirable / ACII • Membership of a Professional Body • Excellent Interpersonal and communications skills & Leadership and Management Skills Note: – Kindly indicate your age, salary expectation and notice on your CV.
