Description
Wallberghälsan occupational health care started in 2010 as part of the Wallberg Clinic in Skärholmen Centrum. The Wallberg Clinic has provided specialist care in surgery, urology and endoscopy in southern Stockholm since 1989 and was started by husband and wife - teams Inger and Håkan Wallberg.
A construction entrepreneur who visited the clinic asked if his company could do its health checks there, because he was tired of sending his staff to central Stockholm. That's how Wallberg Health was started. The business grew slowly but surely over the next two years, until there was simply no longer enough space at the clinic for Wallberg Health.
Since the most important selling points for Wallberghälsan are the easy access from the E4, free parking, the fantastic metro and bus connections - Inger & Håkan decided to keep Wallberghälsan in Skärholmen. It also meant that it was easier for them to handle both companies, doctors and nurses when Hälsan and Kliniken were close to each other.
The more they learned about occupational health care, the more they understood the big difference between healthcare in the clinic and health care in Wallberg Health.
Equipped with many years of experience in the healthcare sector in Stockholm and two years in occupational health care, they appointed a new CEO in early 2013 and moved into new fresh premises. The goal was now clear: to become the leading privately owned occupational health care provider in southern Stockholm. To achieve this goal and compete with the major players in the occupational health care market, they would not only provide the best value for money in southern Stockholm, they would also deliver a more personal service and really take all the time needed for customers.
