ALS Finland Oy offers customers a very wide range of environmental analyzes. Our goal is for the customer to get all the analysis services they need under one roof. In addition, the ALS Group's selection also includes analytics, e.g. needs of the product, food and pharmaceutical sectors.
ALS Finland Oy is part of ALS Scandinavia AB and the internationally operating ALS Group. The ALS Group's business is mainly focused on providing testing services. The ALS Group employs more than 13,000 people worldwide. They serve customers in more than 350 locations in 55 countries across Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North and South America.
Activities and laboratories
ALS Finland Oy offers its customers analysis services from the Helsinki office. There are chemists working in Helsinki who are responsible for providing customer, expert and sales services to customers. From the customer's point of view, all functions related to the samples, such as offers, receipt of samples, reporting of results and expert services, are handled by the professionals at the Helsinki office.
The samples are analyzed in the ALS Group's European laboratories in the Czech Republic (Prague, Pardubice and Ceska Lipa) and Sweden (Luleå and Danderyd) or in other European subcontracting laboratories.
Quality
All ALS Group laboratories and other subcontracting laboratories we use are laboratories accredited in accordance with the international ISO 17025 standard. In addition, most of the analysis methods we offer are accredited. The accreditation of our subcontracting laboratories is also approved by FINAS based on the EA (European co-operation for Accreditation) agreement.
History
The history of ALS's operations in Finland dates back to 2003, when ALS Scandinavia (then SGAB Analytica) began cooperating with Finnish customers. The number of customers grew steadily and in 2007 ALS acquired a laboratory in Kotka, which mainly provided water analysis services. In autumn 2010, operations moved to the Helsinki office and currently focus mainly on environmental analytics.
