IT OFFICER (NYSC Position) | Virtual | BS.c Computer science or ICT related field, Corps member (NYSC) only. A valuable practical experience is required for this position. LOCATION: Wuye District Abuja, Nigeria. OVERVIEW: IT officer installs, upgrades, maintains, tests and troubleshoot a company’s IT infrastructure, which includes computer equipment such as personal computers, laptops, and networking equipment. IT personnel must understand computer components, such as motherboards, and networking components, such as routers and switches, to identify problems and introduce repairs or replacements. REQUIREMENTS: Must be a serving Corps Member (NYSC) Must be a graduate of Computer Science/ ICT / Computer Engineering / MIS. Valuable experience is an added advantage. All information technology personnel members should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to work in a team environment, to share information and to work under pressure. Attention to detail. Must be innovative ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT: Your cover letter should contain a detailed description of your proficiency as an IT Officer as well as your experience. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain and support business systems. Assist users with system and software functionality and technical issues. Train users on how to use new applications. Routine system maintenance. Back-up systems and applications. Ensure the integrity of the stored business information by implementing security measures to be adhered to by all users within the organization. Install and configure computer systems. Diagnose hardware and software faults and solving technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person. Monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organization.
