Healthcare Intern Virtual Our office has formed a partnership with a global, non-political, not-for-profit organization associated with a preeminent state university and run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. With that partnership, we are looking for a young, driven and self-motivated Healthcare Intern interested in gaining real-world experience in the healthcare sector. The successful candidate will be exposed to different scenarios to prepare them for a promising nursing and healthcare management career in the future. Since our startups and partner offices deploy customer support-type teams in a variety of scenarios, the intern’s role will vary depending on the needs and requirements. Learn the basics and fundamentals of the American Healthcare (AHC) industry including: What “payers” are? How do they fit into the overall AHC space? How does concierge medicine fit into the evolving private medical practice segment of AHC? How does AHC differ from the healthcare industry in the Philippines? What roles does the American Medical Association (AMA) play in AHC? How is that different from the medical academies and societies in the Philippines? How do the two major code sets used in AHC (ICD10 and CPT) affect the way medical providers get paid? The intern should provide customer support service by: Helping resolve issues that clients might have with the service that they’ve received. Taking detailed notes and keeping records of all healthcare customer support scenarios. Performing other tasks as required by supervisor and management. Minimum Qualifications Must be a current BS Nursing (or any medical-related course) student from any reputed universities and colleges. Absolutely tech-savvy and proficient as the job requires you to use various proprietary software and platforms. School requirements: Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) from the academic institution, registration form, and School ID. Excellent communicator and good people skills since you will deal with a lot of people from different backgrounds. Of course, English proficiency needs to be excellent. Must be a dynamic multi-tasker to perform various tasks in ever-changing needs and priorities. Fast-learner, quick on their feet, and willing to be trained. Accurate and precise data management, entry, and encoding skills needed. Willing to work and relocate to Makati City.
